Why dryer vent cleaning is part of dryer repair
Long dry times, hot laundry rooms, and burning smells can point to restricted airflow, not just a bad dryer part.
Dryers need airflow to work correctly
A dryer can have working heat and still leave clothes damp if air cannot move through the vent. Restricted airflow keeps moisture trapped, overheats parts, and can make normal loads take two or three cycles.
Common signs of vent restriction
Watch for clothes that stay damp, a laundry room that gets unusually hot, lint collecting around the machine, a burning smell, or the dryer shutting off before the load is dry. These symptoms should be checked before more parts are replaced.
Repair and cleaning often overlap
A proper dryer visit may include checking heat, sensors, rollers, belts, and airflow together. Cleaning the vent path can protect the dryer and make the repair result last longer.
